RAID.R MAGAZINE

For this Issue of Raid.R, we’ve featured artists and researchers who are either directly combatting the over-saturation of problems like waste and consumerism or activating conversations through their use of materials, concepts and processes. This publication is an example of work being created in 2023, connected by intention, by reaction and by the saturated saturation that fills our worlds.

Laurie Luna Martin,  She/They

Multi-disciplinary artist

BA Fine Art at Central Saint Martins ‘22

From Greenwich, UK

Cruising through phygital realms, collecting memories from my avatars. Building a personal portfolio of my existence in multiple ‘realities’. Posthuman feminism inspires my written practice, sitting alongside my imagery as poems. I am reflecting on how organic matter is represented in digital spaces, and how digital spaces can exist ‘physically’.

Moving between digital technology of humans and the beauty of organic nature. I create environments through my work, whether it be a physically ‘immersive’ installation, or in a ‘piece’ of a reality: a photograph, painting, character, garment, story, or song.

I’m also the editor of Raid.R magazine, an artist run collective launched in January 2021.
